As COVID-19 cases surge across 20+ US states, consumers’ sense of progress stalls and their caution grows. Still, it is clear that consumers are conflicted over their desire to “reopen” and claim some sense of normalcy. In this moment we also explore sentiment around brands taking a stand on social issues, and in particular mitigating misinformation/ hate speech online.
